Jessica J. Powell, CSW

I am a dedicated therapist with a passion for helping folks on their path to self-discovery and self-worth. I believe that true growth and healing occur in a safe and nurturing space where you have the ability to embrace your vulnerability. I’m committed to social justice, embracing feminist theory, and a systemic perspective. I am dedicated to decolonizing the traditional practices of mental health and ensuring my clients are met with culturally responsive care that respects and honors each client’s unique background and identity.

I have extensive training in CBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR; in addition to my trainings I bring techniques and ideologies from DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Feminist, Exposure and Response Prevention, Psychodynamic, Strength-based and Compassion-focused lenses.

As a type I diabetic, neurodivergent, and transracial adoptee, I believe my personal experiences and unique perspectives foster a deep understanding of struggles and triumphs, creating a genuine connection along with empathy and insight. I understand the importance of safe and validating spaces where you can be your most beautiful and authentic YOU.
